Lanyon has exciting opportunities as a Sales Account Executive.

The Sales Account Executive is responsible for driving new business within an assigned territory. We are looking for
“hunters”
who can identify C level executives within Fortune 1000 companies and can develop, pursue and execute
successful new sales
of all of Lanyon’s products, Services and Technology in their assigned territory. This position will
be primarily focused (80%) on
developing New Business within the territory assigned and be responsible for meeting
certain quotas and process metrics set
by management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Generate new contacts and opportunities adequate to develop a sales pipeline to support quota attainment through
prospecting

• Set up and conduct product introduction (web) presentations with identified management executives at targeted
companies; Provide a clear, compelling and articulate explanation of our business value to prospective customers;
Manage contact relationships and all opportunities through the full sales process from qualification to closed multi-year
agreements

• Obtain business intelligence on targeted Fortune 1000 prospects utilizing various methods to include cold calling,
warm lead follow-up, and analyst briefings

• Document details of identified opportunities in a prescribed manner to ensure accurate and timely follow up on
opportunities, leads and prospects

• Manage time and resources to strike the right balance of performing outbound calls to prospects and leads and
follow-up to manage sales pipeline

• Support specific marketing programs, lead generation campaigns and targeted sales activities

• Successfully complete corporate training program; Strive for continued self-improvement; Stay abreast of industry
and market trends by utilizing various research organizations, sales books and collateral

• Follow all corporate and department policies and procedures

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Superior interpersonal skills: Ability to interface with a wide range of personalities and position levels; Effective
conversing at the executive or owner level

• High energy, enthusiastic promoter of organization and opportunities

• Strong organizational, planning, communication, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills

• Detailed administrative skills for tracking and reporting

• Tenacious self-starter with strong sense of ownership and ability to work autonomously; Assertive networker

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in successful software sales and/or large account strategic sales experience

• Basic understanding of technology systems, Internet applications, and CRM systems

• Strong verbal and written communication, networking, and relationship building skills

• Ability to converse with prospects at all levels, including the executive or owner level

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment to prospect and develop new business
