Our client is a thriving global player in the logistics, distribution and warehousing industry. Their business is booming and double-digit annual growth has been the norm for over two decades. New locations are coming on-line at a pace of several per year.
The General Manager and the Sales Manager together run the business and co-own the P&L.
As General Manager, this position runs the operations day-to-day and must be actively involved in leading the hourly teams and supervisors.
It is a fast-paced warehouse setting with a lot of inbound and outbound traffic and material.
Their customers are diverse but are often in the world of consumer products.
There is considerable interaction with those customers (both manufacturers and retailers), and they are often visitors to the facility.
Other areas of responsibility include cost control & operational budget, inventory and AP.
The best fit will be someone who can be the “Floor General”, keeping the daily ops flowing smoothly, and who also has a good grasp of their key performance metrics & the financials.

Compensation: 85-104K scaled bonus that can be extremely lucrative…it’s tied directly to the profitability of the facility and can be many tens of thousands annually…$200K total comp is not out of the question, as the business is built.
- 7-10 or more years experience in Distribution/Warehouse operations, probably with either a 3PL or a Consumer Products Manufacturer or similar (key is shipping to many customers from the one location)
- 3 or more years as a leader in same
Strong experience with a budget and financials, and experience driving profitability in the business
Continuous Improvement work, including cost reduction
- Experience with a WMS (Warehouse Management System)
