The Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, programs, and infrastructure that support Global Marketing and the Global Disease Teams in the development, execution and communication of long-term and short-term strategy

Execute key programs that drive effectiveness and efficiency through processes and infrastructure which include but are not limited to:

The annual planning cycle and calendar
• Continuously evolve the annual planning cycle, roadmap, milestones and deliverables in alignment with regional needs and Business Planning processes
• Proactively communicate with GDTs and Senior Management to ensure timely communication and dissemination of Strategic Planning deliverables including Disease/Franchise Strategies, Brand Indication Plan, Launch Plans, and Tactical Plans. Includes coordination of all in-person and virtual meetings, and on-line posting and communication of final deliverables

• In partnership with Senior Leadership define the timelines and scope of the annual GDT goal setting process. Ensure alignment with Corporate MIP, Project Leadership, and Medical Affairs approach and timelines.
• Communicate and facilitate the annual goal setting process with GDTs, ensuring the timely management review and final delivery of goals
• In partnership with GDTs, track progress towards goals on a quarterly basis ensuring report up to Marketing and Medical Affairs Senior Leadership

• In partnership with Global Marketing, Global Medical Affairs, and Scientific Communications, define and facilitate the internal preparation flow for major congresses
Developing the agenda and coordinating key Congress Strategy communication meetings with various stakeholder groups
Lead the production of the pre-conference video for all employees

Develop and execute the GDT and Global Marketing communication touch-points and multi-channel platforms:
• Take a lead role in evolving the and re-establishing the GDT Web Portal as the central source of information for GDT deliverables, disease and brand materials, and general information – including the management of the vendor and development and execution of the marketing and training plan
• Lead the monthly Global Marketing & Medical Affairs Forum
• Provide support in the execution of annual meetings

Global Marketing on-line presence and content
• Take a lead role in re-vamping the internal Global Marketing web portal to ensure communication of current strategy, structure, and resources

Execute other responsibilities as they arise:
• Identification and facilitation of best practice sharing across GDTs, regions and affiliates
• On-going identification of process improvement and areas where Global Marketing and GDTs can gain more efficiencies

• Conceptualizes creative solutions including presenting/selling to a senior audience
• Has the ability to establish rapport and foster open communication
• Has the ability to adapt behavioral style to situation and customer type and to adapt approach and content depending on context and audience seniority

Skills Required:
• Basic understanding of business strategy, marketing planning tools and processes
• Basic understanding of key pharmaceutical marketing (e.g. market research, business intelligence, market access) and medical affairs functions
• Strong presentation skills
• Exceptional problem solving, analytical and strategic planning skills
• Exceptional technology skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and string ability to manage web-based applications and mobile applications


• BS/BA required, MBA preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, consulting, or project management required; pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred
• Fluency in English required
