We are specifically searching for a dynamic professional with a demonstrated commitment to excellence to lead the organization and support its mission of empowering women and children to permanently exit the generational cycle of homelessness, poverty, addiction, and abuse.

The Position
Under the authority of the organization’s board of directors, the chief executive officer has overall administrative responsibility for the implementation and leadership of our client  programs, financial management, fundraising activities, operations, board relations, and human resources management. The chief executive officer reports directly to the board president and bears overall accountability to the board of directors as a whole.


Operations Management – Direct the daily administration of client internal operations and facilities (corporate, housing, site, clinical, catering operations); ensure operations are efficient/effective and that there is proper management of resources, efficient utilization of goods and services, and extensive improvement of processes and procedures

Finance – Develop strategies that ensure adequate funds and resources are consistently available for continuous and satisfactory organizational operations.

Fundraising – Working with the vice president and chief development officer, overall development and implementation of donor relations as well as the design and execution of the organization’s fundraising strategy, including capital campaigns, solicitation, and cultivation of major individual, foundation, government, grants, and corporate support.

Community/Public Relations – Serve as representative for the organization with external stakeholders and groups, such as with agency, media, community, government, and the general public. Provide a professional presence accurately reflecting the high level of integrity and progressive practices of our client Program for real Change.

General Duties and Responsibilities, include:

Work effectively with the board chair, executive committee and officers.

Provide leadership to organization operations, including oversight of staff, budgets, and capital assets.

Maintain a sound organizational structure for operations. Ensure that an effective management team is in place with appropriate leadership responsibility.

Manage on-site and remote physical facilities, including housing, corporate, and business operations. Hold final responsibility for all management and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and resources, overseeing the day-to-day management by the director of operations.

Plan, organize, and execute the organization’s goals, objectives, and strategic plans. Establish policies and procedures in keeping with the overall objectives of the organization.

Ensure that program data is reported to grantors in a timely manner and complies with funding requirements.

Ensure that organization finances are adequate, managed appropriately, and reflect sound financial practices.

Ensure that organization programs achieve grant objectives and promote optimum service delivery to clients.

Ensure that human resources policies and programs promote employee and volunteer retention, training, and continuing development.

Ensure that all files, including legal documents, client and personnel records, financial data, donor information, business licenses, etc. are properly

Desired Qualifications

A record of successful and innovative fundraising with proven experience with grant writing, individual donors, and major gifts.

A proven track record of visionary leadership with progressive management experience

with increasing responsibility – including administration, staff supervision, strategic planning, evaluation, budgeting, and organizational innovation.

Extraordinary communicator and relationship builder with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Professional and personal style consistent with the supportive, collaborative, team-oriented culture of our client.

Demonstrated cross-cultural competency and the ability to prioritize and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies.

Demonstrated ability to manage organizational operations effectively and efficiently.

Strong financial skills and experience- including budget management, fiscal management, and analysis.

High level of emotional intelligence – i.e., accurately perceive and express yourself, personal humility, develop and maintain social relationships, cope and adapt to challenges, and use emotions in an effective way.
