RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Supervise subordinates, complete employee evaluations and plan and arrange for development and training.\u00a0 Resolve employee problems and discipline issues.<\/p>\n

Consult daily with operations area personnel to discuss and define operational issues.\u00a0 Determine priorities for the area with regard to resources.<\/p>\n

Consult daily with tech service and\/or logistic personnel to discuss and define short term and long term activities.<\/p>\n

Interface with Business Group, R&D, Manufacturing, Process Technology, and Logistics on customer service, quality, new product\/project, and distribution issues.<\/p>\n

Develop goals and objectives for the area and monitor progress.<\/p>\n

Manage area and unit specific annual budgets.\u00a0 Monitor cost activity and variances and review with plant staff.\u00a0 Promote efforts to identify cost improvement ideas and work toward implementation of these ideas.<\/p>\n

Actively promote and Lead plant safety culture and efforts.
\nAttend meetings for the operations manager in his absence when needed.\u00a0 Cover the unit supervisor responsibilities during the absence of unit supervisor.<\/p>\n

Monitor and track activities in these areas and insure appropriate resources are available.\u00a0 Stress excellent housekeeping within the units to promote safety.\u00a0 Attend unit safety meeting and lead a monthly plant wide safety meeting.\u00a0 Investigate all safety incidents for root cause and determine appropriate follow up actions to be taken.\u00a0 Lead all formal investigation involving incidents in the area.<\/p>\n

Lead initiatives involving quality, reduction of process variation and improvement of process capabilities in the Area.\u00a0 Monitor processes for deviation and monitor daily quality of production.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Develop and implement detailed plans for introduction of new production into operating units to insure success of operations.<\/p>\n

Work with logistics and maintenance in the planning of unit turnarounds.<\/p>\n

Review capital projects for safety and operability.\u00a0 Issue capital expenditure requests for minor capital projects.<\/p>\n

Issue Process Change Forms to insure documentation of all changes in the area and follow up to insure closure of these documents upon completion of the change.<\/p>\n

Recruit and mentor plant tech service engineers and\/or logistics personnel.<\/p>\n

Initiate supply chain studies and projects as appropriate to identify cost savings opportunities, provide value added service to our customers and to optimize return on expenditure.<\/p>\n
